LAKE
The chalet is overlooking the Rivière Rouge. We have private access to the lake. You can swim in the river. There is a path made of rocks that leads to the water. You have to be very careful since there is current, and you must refrain from swimming if the current is too strong. The bottom is made of large rocks and it is not suitable for children. We recommend that you bring your water shoes. There are no boats available and motorized boats are not allowed on the river. There is a watercraft location service 10 minutes away by car called Canoe-Kayak Arundel.
You cannot fish on the lake. Also, there are several outfitters in the area that offer this service. Visit the Outfitters of Quebec website.
BEACH
For a proper and safer swim you can walk down the road, a 9 minute drive. There is the municipal sandy beach of Brébeuf for swimming.
WINTER
You cannot skate on the river due to the current of the water.. I ask you to always be careful and to inspect the ice well before stepping on it. You can also visit the municipal ice rink. You cannot ice fish on the lake. Visit the Laurentides.com site to find out about the sites near the chalet that offer this activity.

SOUNDS
Parties are prohibited. Excessive noise detection devices are installed outside the chalet. We want to keep a good relationship with our neighbors and our community.
WATER
The water is sulfurous and has a faint odor, but it is very drinkable. I recommend that you bring your own drinking water if you think guests may be sensitive to the smell of the water at the chalet.
FIREPLACE / LOGS
There is an indoor fireplace and an outdoor fireplace at your disposal. There are logs in the basement. I would suggest, however, that you bring some kindling and paper to make it easier to get started.
The fire pit is not accessible from November until April. In winter: If you want to use the outdoor fireplace It is your responsibility to clear the access.
BARBECUE
The barbecue is not accessible from November to April. During winter, if you plan to use the barbecue, it is your responsibility to prepare it and clear the access area of snow.

LADYBUGS
The seasonal changes in spring and autumn also bring the arrival of colorful little visitors seeking warmth: ladybugs. You may encounter them during your stay in these seasons. Rest assured, they are completely harmless to your health.
